Today was weigh in day at Weight Watchers and I am happy to say that I have reached my goal for the month of October. I am now 198.6 pounds, that is 11.6 pounds lost in 6 weeks.
I am so happy and excited. I am no longer in the 200 pound range and I can safely say I will never see that number again. I am still not doing well in the working out department. But I am trying to incorporate it into my day. Like, last weekend we were stuck in traffic and instead of staying in the car, I got out of the car and walked the 3 miles to our destination. While doing building inspections at my job, instead of taking the elevator I took the stairs. I walked up and down 26 flights of stairs! What I noticed and was most amazed about is that I was not out of breath! By the end of it I was exhausted, but I was able to do it with out a problem.
Tomorrow is November and since I reached my goal in October it is time to set my new monthly goal. By November 28th (last weigh in date before December) I want to have reached 194 pounds. I think that a pound a week is very doable and healthy weight loss. My other goal is to at least work out 3 times a week.
I also have a recipe for you guys this weekend.
Veggie Soup Mac and Cheese
1/6 of casserole = 6 points.
1 1/2 Tablespoon Butter
2 Tablespoon Flour
2 Cups Progresso light low sodium vegetable soup- Pureed

8 oz part skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese- grated
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 Tablespoons of bread crumbs
- Preheat oven at 375
- Grease 8x8 Casserole dish.
- Melt butter in sauce pan. Add flour, stir and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add pureed soup. heat to thick and bubbly
- Add cheese, mustard and pasta. Stir
- Pour into casserole dish.
- Top with bread crumbs
- Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Last but not least, ENJOY!
Happy Halloween!

I Spy with My Shoe Eye: Alien Footwear
Have you been keeping track of the fashion shows? You know I have, I just decided not to blog about them this time around. BUT, exceptions can always be made. Especially when you see something so awesome that even though everyone and their grandmother is talking about it you also have to put your two cents in.
Behold the shoes of Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 RTW:

You all know how much I love me some McQueen. The guy is simply a genius. While everyone is playing it safe or redoing something that has already been done. McQueen is practically reenacting the movie Alien into his design.
My only question is how long did the models practice walking in those shoes?

5 pounds of Sugar and then some
That is how much I have lost in weight so far. Have you ever lifted a 5 pound bag of sugar? It may not seem like a lot of weight but next time you go grocery shopping swing by the baking aisle and lift a 5 pound bag of Domino sugar, then add 1 pound to that and that is how much I have lost. I did well this week in tracking my points and drinking my water. I could have done better in the working out department but at least I got some in. My goal this week is to at least work out 5 out of the 7 days. Should not be too hard since I worked out 4 days this past week. I will also start to use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible.
My goal for the month of October is to reach my 5% weight loss goal. That will put my weight at 199.2 pounds, which means I will have to lose 1.2 pounds a week. That is very doable if I continue going the way that I am.
In today’s Weight Watchers meeting we talked about habits and emotional eating. That got me to thinking about how I treat food. I know for a fact that I am an emotional eater. If I am happy, I celebrate by eating, if I am sad, I eat and if I am depressed, I binge. Last time I was on WW all my milestones I celebrated by eating. This time around I am not going to do that because I am doing no one but myself harm.
I need to stop using food as my cure all and be all in my life. Having food at such a high pedestal will only keep me at an unhealthy weight. I know it is not going to be easy, I do not have any delusions about that. I have to recondition a 30-year habit. But this old dog will learn a new trick or two. :-)
Have a great weekend!

They are here!!
I feel like I have been waiting forever for these boots!

Alice + Olivia for Payless Shoes Biker Boots. I saw them in the August issue of Nylon Magazine and I knew I had to have them. I stalked the Payless website and the minute I saw them pop up I purchased them. Now they are here and I cannot wait to wear them out!

Mad Men, the start of a new addiction?
I am home today dealing with a massive migraine. It hit me last night and has basically kept me bed ridden all morning. I finally dragged myself to our couch and continued to catch up on watching all the shows I have recorded on the DVR.
While laying in my death bed I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about Mad Men. I have heard of the show but never watched it. He thinks that I will enjoy it especially the costumes used on the show. I started doing a bit of online research before I add another show to my line up on the DVR.
While doing my research I found this article about this little boy:
His name is Arlo Weiner and he is the very stylish eight year old son of Matt Weiner the creator of Mad Men.
He is fabulous. I mean really, I love this little boy's fashion sense. I wish we were related, I would have him pick my clothes every day.

Look at his red ascot! Really! I just love it all. If in another alternate universe I have a child, I want a little boy just like him.
What do you think? Isn't he lovely?
Ciao! xoxo

Incubus Concert
Here are the picture's from the concert. They are not the best since I was sitting all the way in the back. While I was able to see the concert just fine, my camera was not able to capture everything that well.
If you have not seen Incubus in concert, I highly suggest that you do.

Because the guy is not hot enough, he had to go and take off his shirt.

I tried to upload video but blogger was not cooperating.
Enjoy!

Garden Botanika Slip Gloss
I got My Pretty Pink Box a couple of days ago. The main reason why I ordered it is because I wanted to try out the Shadow Shields that were going to come with the box. Also, I wanted to get one for Mommy Dearest as part of her mother's day gift.
Little did I know that I was going to fall in love with a lip gloss that came along with the box. Actually, I think love is not a strong enough word to describe how I feel about this little tube.
I am the lip gloss queen. Seriously, I have tried, owned or still own a ridiculous amount of glosses (the glosses you saw here is only the tip of the ice burg) I will not even tell you how many I have because it truly is ridiculous.
Why, you might ask I own so many? Is because I am always looking for the perfect gloss. The one that will give me the right amount of gloss with out looking like I ate a bucket of greasy chicken, or attract every strand of my hair, real or other wise, one that is not so thick that it feels I am wearing a second skin, one that does not start to make my lips flake as it starts wearing out or taste like Vaseline when I lick my lips.
Well ladies, I have found the holy grail of lip glosses or I should say, My Pretty Pink Box found the holy grail of lip glosses and mailed it to me. What is this lip gloss you ask?
Is the Garden Botanika Slip Gloss.
The one that came in the box is Cranapple Slip gloss. It applies light, no tacky greasy mess on the lips. It does not have a taste and it is so light weight it feels as if you have applied nothing to your lips. It has high shine, long lasting and even makes my lips look plumper.
I went on the website and all their slip glosses are on sale for $9.00. So that made the glosses even more attractive.
The down side to the glosses? They only have seven colors to choose from. That is something I can live with. I am loving the Cranapple color so I know I will be getting another one.
This one gets a rating of 5/5.
I cannot wait till next months box to see what other goodies will come. :-)

Gavin Rossdale Concert Pictures

Had Enough?? Well, I give you one more. hehehehe.......
I was trying to be artistic with that picture.Last but not least, what I was able to record before I got stopped by security.
Me at the concert, trying to wait patiently for Gavin to come on:
You cannot see it very well in the picture, but I am wearing a t-shirt designed by Christian Siriano from Project Runway. He created these t-shirts for HRC (Human Rights Campaign). The proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts go towards helping HRC on their quest to bring equality to the gays, lesbians, bisexual, and transgender Americans. They were selling this t-shirt and a bunch other fabulous t-shirts at the fashion event that was held in the building I work at a few months ago.
Well, that is it. Enjoy!

Wow, Just Wow
So last night I went to the Blue October concert at the 930 Club and I had a fantastic time!
Blue October has easily become one of my top 5 bands that I love. They were on my top ten but last night the just catapulted up the ranks.
What freaken energy! They had me jumping, singing, clapping and doing all kinds of shit I normally do not do at concerts.
Justin is just AMAZING. He has great stage presence, lots of energy that vibrates off every cell in your body. The rest of the guys in the group? All I can say is OMG! They are equally as talented. Ryan Delahoussaye on the violin was FAN-FREAKEN-TASTIC.
Their latest album Approaching Normal was not my favorite when I bought it. I was thinking that I could have lived with out it BUT after last night, my mind was changed. It is still not my favorite of their albums but I am sure as hell happy I own it and I am listening to it right now.
Also, I need to mention the opening band. I almost missed them last night. I was so tired when I got off from work I wanted to go home and take a nap. Since I had never heard of the band, I figured I could do with out seeing them. But I made it to the club to watch their set and man, I got to say I would have been so pissed at myself if I would have missed it.
The name of the band is Longwave. They hail from my home state of NY, NYC, Brooklyn. At first glance you wonder what the hell is this? The lead singer Steve Schiltz comes on stage with a beer in his hand and I start to think "Oh yeah, this is going to be another amazing train wreck a la Lily Allen"(do not get me wrong her concert was fun, But watching a drunk person prance around on a stage is always fun). BUT, that thought was short lived. With the opening cords of Steve's guitar followed by Jason Molina's drum beats my body started to dance to the music before my mind even wrapped around the fact that I was digging this band. Then Steve in his falsetto voice started in and I was sold. Even Mr. P was impressed.
Now, I am not saying for you to run out to the nearest concert hall and watch the group. They are still the small fish in the big bad ocean, but they are worth keeping an eye on and see how they develop.
I have lots of picture's and video which I will post tonight when I get home. I just had to tell you guys about this amazing concert. You have to add Blue October to your list of must see concerts. I am serious, even if you do not like their type of music, you will after seeing them perform.
Next concert: Gavin Rossdale at the 9:30 Club on Sunday, May 3rd.

I have not Forgotten...
To post the picture's from Friday's fashion show. Is just that Mr. P and I have been sick as dogs and have not had the energy to edit photos, but I will have them up soon.
On a lighter note, while I sit here in bed waiting for someone at my Dr's office to take me off hold, I decided to go on the MAC website because Mr. P told me that the Hello Kitty Kouture stuff is up. Yes ladies, my b/f is awesome, he helps me keep up to date on the going ons in the make-up and fashion world.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand... I still want the compact. I normally would not want to spend $90 (that is before my discount) but because it is absolutely cute and you can reuse it I decided it is worth the splurge. The only thing that I have a problem with is that it looks like it does not have a mirror. I mean, for 90 bucks, can't they put in a mirror? Seriously! Swarovski crystals are not THAT expensive.
I must be off, the Dr's office decided to take me off hold. I will have picture's of the collection for you guys this evening.
Until next time, Ciao! xoxo

12 Things I LOVE
Every girl has things that they cannot live without. It could be a pet, make-up, a purse, bag, anything. Today while I was bored at work I decided to write my own list. So in no particular order, since when I tried to list them by importance I noticed that they all fall as my number 1 must have. LOL.
1) M.A.C's Plush Lash Mascara: My lashes have never looked so full and long till I started using this stuff. It is FABULOUS!
2) Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm: I LOVE, LOVE this stuff. I normally hate minty stuff but once I put this on my lips it makes them feel so good I just want to keep applying more and more till there is no more. Is like a little piece of heaven applied to your lips, especially in the winter when they are chapped and dry from the cold.
3) Hello Kitty Warhol bag: I love this bag. It holds all my junk and it is cute and stylish.
4) Ipod: I am a music junkie. I have over 7 thousand songs and counting.
5) Russian Red M.A.C lipstick: I love the color red and I adore this color.
6) Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencils: Yes, I am a MAC girl. I love there stuff but these pencils by Urban Decay are the best. They glide on smoothly and once you put them on it stays on all day and looking fresh too.
7) Adiddas Superstar sneakers: Not only are they stylish and totally describes me they are mad comfy and look great with everything even a dress!!
8) T-mobile Slide: I do not really like to talk on the phone much but man I can text all day. LOL
9) Canon Powershot camera: I do not leave home with out my camera. It is small and fits easily in my pocket or purse. You never know when you will need a camera.
10) My laptop: How else am I going to blog?
11) My Silver hoops: I feel naked with out them.
12) Cosmedicine Honest Face Skin Tint & Treatment: Not only is it tinted, it is a light weight moisturizer and protects my skin from the sun. I love products that do more then one thing, less for me to carry! If that is not enough reason for you then note that this moisturizer only contains 3 ingredients and they are all good for your skin.
Well, that is it. My top twelve can't live with out things. What stuff can't you live with out?
Ciao!! xoxo
