I Spy with my Shoe Eye: J. Aldridge by Sea of Shoes Laced Boot

While I was looking around the Urban Outfitters website I saw these: I thought they were super cute and very a la Prada Spring 2006 bootie.

Then I saw the name of the boots, Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes and I knew that they were indeed inspired by Prada's boots.

Here is the Prada shoes worn by Jane herself:

I will see if I stop by UO this weekend and check them out. I will let you know what I think of them. In the mean time if you have not been to the Sea of Shoes blog you really should.

Ciao! xoxo

I Spy with my Shoe Eye: A missed opportunity

Enter Prada Spring 2008 RTW, these shoes hit the runway:

My jaw drops. I love them. I want them. But of course I cannot have them.

Too expensive and I knew someone would copy the style. As time went I saw some that looked similar but it did not make my heart skip a beat. I push it to the back burner, once in a while I would go hunting for a duplicate but little by little the light was fading.

As karma would have it (I must be paying for something I did in my past life) once I stopped searching for a duplicate one rears it's ugly head:

See what I mean? Pink Duchess Geneva.

Still available on Urban Original website for those with none Sasquatch feet.

Ciao! xoxo

Did I miss the Memo?

When was it ok to wear your grandma's couch as an outfit? Prada, Prada, Prada... What in the world was going on in that trashy head of yours?

I think Prada was trying to go for a mixture of hobo + trashy + The Sound of Music Curtain Chic. To add emphases to the look she was going for, did you see the hair and make-up? The poor models look like strung out junkies. Don't believe me? Check this out:

Guess who that is.

Give up? That is Alyona Osmanova

I wonder if all the guests at the Prada show were given fire extinguishers along with their goodie bags? Seriously, that collection is only good enough as kindling for the fire place.

What do you think?

Until next time, Ciao! xoxo
