I really like these Tarina Tarantino earrings:
But at $63 dollars a pair, there was no way I was going to buy them. From the description on her site the pearl is a Swarovski glass pearl and the stones on the post are Swarovski Crystals. It does not say if the actual post is sterling silver or not, but I will assume that it is.
So after a little bit of digging I found the materials to make my own "Swarovski Glass Pearl Drop Earrings" for about 10% of the cost of the original.
The earring posts are not 100% alike. But they are sterling silver, have the little bit of bling like the inspiration and the pearls are Swarovski glass pearls. I liked them so much I made a dark grey version of the earrings*.

They're both really pretty, the Tarina Tarantino ones are probably marginally nicer, but not $63 nice! Looking forward to seeing your ones :)
I totally agree. I am a huge fan of her jewelry. But every time I want to get myself something I get sticker shock. So I decided to do the next best thing, duplicate her design as best as possible for myself. :-)
I will have the rest of the pictures up between today and tomorrow. Every time I take a picture it looks like crap, I need Mr. P's help. :)
