I have been a red head for a total of three months. While I truly enjoyed it, it is time for me to go back to black hair. I knew that it was going to be a lot of work to maintain red hair but geez. My color started to fade right away even with the proper shampoo and fillers. My roots with in one month were showing and now on month three I have over an inch of roots! This is even higher maintenance then when I was a blonde. My love of fashion and beauty has taken me through a lot of avenues. From going to FiT to going to cosmetology school to being a freelance make-up artist and in between using myself as a guinea pig, trying out the different ideas I have had when it comes to hair and makeup. Which brings me to todays adventure. Home hair dying. I have done it before but never when my hair has been this long and I always had my cousinor besties around to help me out when needed. Well, I live in DC now so I do not have family close by to help me out, they are all in NYC and my bestie moved. So not only did I have to do this alone, I am dying my hair for the first time at this length.
So armed with the hair color that Mr. P bought for me at the beauty supply, I set out to dye my hair. At the end it was not such a bad experience. I got some color on my skin but Mr. P helped me get it all off before it would stain.
Here are some before and after picture's of my hair.
My red hair:
In this picture the color is three months old so it has faded a lot. Ignore how jacked up my hair looks, I was giving my hair a break from styling products and tools this week.
and now my dark hair:
When I get more time in my life and more funds I will consider being a red head again, but until then I will continue to rock the dark locks.
So what do you guys think?

I like the dark hair better than the red. It seems to suit you better.
I've pretty much given up on dying my hair at this point. It's a hassle, and seems to make my hair freak out more than if I just leave it be. :)
Thanks ladies! After having the black hair for a day, I am enjoying it so much more then the red. I was obsessed with having the red hair because I love the color red but the black does look so much better on me.

Headaches are no fun. It is bad enough getting them once in a while but having to deal with them on almost a daily bases is no fun.
I'm generally not a fan of dyed black hair but it looks good on you!
