Outgoing Mail

Today is this first time I am sending out my little notes out to the world. This Particular group is who I am calling the postcards group. As you can see they are all (except for the first one) DC postcards. That is because this particular group likes to collect location postcards.

I am so excited and cannot wait till they arrive to their new homes.

I have joined a couple of penpal networks in the hopes of meeting new people from around the world. I also feel that with this technology driven world, the handwritten letter is dying.

I think we have all gotten so spoiled by technology and our busy lives that we have forgotten how special it is to receive a handwritten letter from a friend. Once upon a time, I used to love opening my mailbox, but in the last few years it feels like a chore, since all we get is bills and junk mail.

I do not want my trip to the mailbox to feel like a chore anymore. I want to get excited each time that I go to my mailbox in the hopes of finding a letter from a new friend. It is a great feeling knowing that someone took time out of their life to send me a letter, even if it is to say hello.

Do not get me wrong, I love to hear from everyone, no matter how they choose to communicate with me. But I want to also be able to write to someone and share with them a hand written note, that adds a something little more personal then what an email or text can offer.
