I have been thinking a lot about Living Rooms, our living room in particular. Our living room looks like one out of a college guys apartment. With a broken couch, book cases over flowing with books and breaking apart.
I started digging into my Interior Design folder and I pulled some of my favorite living rooms. I do not remember where I got most of these pictures, with the exception of the green and white
Ikea room.
Since we are apartment dwellers and where we live management does not allow to paint the walls. So I am left to add color via furniture and accessories.

Wow, I love those!! I had a friend who lived in an apt. where they couldn't paint either, and she did a really cute thing, because she just wanted some COLOR on the walls. She bought gigantic stretched canvases and just painted them the color she would have painted her walls, if she were free to do so. Later on, when she got bored with them, she covered them with fabric. Not as much fun as actually painting the walls, but still something that brings some color into an apartment.
I love the first three! I can't wait til i have my own house and can do my own decorating :)
That is a great idea Michelle. I was even thinking of buying wall decals to add more color to the walls. Not just fill it up with pictures and paintings.
