I have failed miserably at keeping up my weight loss posts. It has not been an easy month for me but it has ended on a good note.
Last week when I went to weigh in I had gained 3 pounds putting me back over 200 pounds. I was not a happy camper. I knew I had to do something. I had promised myself that I was not going to ever see my weight start with the number 2 ever again. But there I went breaking that promise.
I decided to switch the plan for myself and instead of counting points, I decided to get on the Core Program. I rather have a group of foods that I can eat and not have to count points, then having to account for every single thing that I eat. I mean, I still have to be mindful of what I eat but at least now I am not held to a number. I am not disciplined enough.
Aside from switching what I eat, I have started going to the gym. I have to say it is great. I have been dealing with super sore muscles and even one day I over did it so much that I had to take a break from the gym. I learned a very valuable lesson that week; do not do more then what your body can handle.
I did not make my November goal of losing 10 pounds. This month I only lost 2 pounds. But that is OK, because in total since I started 11 weeks ago, I have lost 14.2 pounds. I am now a size 14, I am starting to fit into a size 12 and I can see the changes in my body.
My stats for the end of November is:
Chest: 44 (same)
Waist: 35.5 (-3.5 inches)
Hips: 45.5 (-2.5 inches)
Thighs: 27 (-1 inch)
Arms: 13 (-2 inches)
Weight: 196 (-14.2 pounds)
I have progress pictures with I will add later. Mr. P has to download them from the camera.
My goal for the month of December is to be at 185 pounds by the time the clock hits midnight on December 31, 2009. That means I will have to lose about 2.5 pounds a week from now till the end of the month. Pretty high goal. But it is doable if I plan, stick to the plan and workout. So off to the gym I go now!

Hump Day Video: Jennifer Lopez
I like some of Jennifer Lopez's songs, they are great to work out to, this song I do not like. But the reason I am posting this is because of the fall. It is not a big deal that she fell, shit happens. But what is funny is that she went on to say that it "was all part of the act".
GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH THAT!
Jennifer, you know you are lying, just own up to it. Is not a big deal. It happens, Look at what happened to Beyonce at her Orlando Concert (that is still funny 2 years later).

Nail of the Week: Shim-Merry Chic
Best Buy still has my camera hostage. I have a temporary camera and it sucks, so I apologize in advance for the not so great manicure picture (such a shame too because it really is a pretty color). Once I get my camera back, I will update this with a proper photo.

Nail Polish Brand: O.P.I
Color: Shim-Merry Chic (2 Coats)- This is the only color I got from the O.P.I Christmas Collection. None of the other colors caught my attention enough to buy. It is a very pretty bronze color with glitter. Love it.
Base: Nail Tek and Orly Bonder. I put a thin layer of Bonder over the Nail Tek. Just cause I did not like the matte feeling of Nail Tek. I know, I know, I was going to apply the color polish. Just humor me.
Top Coat: Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. I am wearing two top coats because my Seche Vite is almost at the end of it's life. So instead of doing 2 coats of Seche, I am doing one coat of each top coat. Yes, I should just buy a new bottle but I am trying to finish the other top coat polishes I have.
I had to cut my nails yet again. This time it was a little upsetting because I finally had them the length that I wanted and the shape that I wanted. But as luck would have it, in the last week two off them broke. So I am back to square one.
I have also noticed that my nails are really dry and a little brittle now that we are going into the cold weather. After doing a bit of research and reading other nail blogs, I found out about a product called Nail Tek. They have several products that target different nail problems. From all of them I think Nail Tek Foundation III is what I need. Here is the description from the website:
"Nail Tek III: Protection Plus
for dry brittle nails
Protection Plus provides extra conditioning for nails that are hard and brittle. This special formulation replenishes the natural moisture content of the nail. Applied daily, Protection Plus helps nails regain the healthy balance necessary to resist stress and enhance survivability.
Nail Tek III: Protection Plus
replenishes, moisturizes, protects"
I ordered myself a bottle and I started using it with today's manicure. I will give you guy's updates on how my nails are looking. I only wish I took a picture of my bare nails before I cut them off and painted them.
Ciao! xoxo

PS: Wow, this was long.
PPS: I have not forgotten my weight loss update. It is coming, I have a lot to say and I did not have a camera for pictures.
PPPS: How awful does my nails look short? eeeeew..... Ok, that is it with the PS's.

I want...
I was reading The Coveted this morning and she had posted about the label Monki. My eyes instantly zeroed in on these boots:

So of course I had to visit the Monki site to see what else catches my fancy:

Love it all! But there is a problem, the clothing is only sold in Stockholm. :-( I need to take a trip out there so that I can do some shopping.

One of my favorite editorials is from Vogue Korea, with Daul Kim as Tumbelina:
It sadness me to see a person take their life. Especially one as young as Daul Kim. I wish she would have reached out to someone for help.

My Closet
A while back I posted about decorating my bedroom. I have not had the time and to be honest we have not even been sleeping in the bedroom. Why? Because it has been to darn hot! We have been sleeping on our blow up bed in the living room, with the patio door open in the hopes of getting a cross breeze.
Yes, yes, we are already in November and it should not be so hot. But it honestly feels like we are sitting in Hades.
But I have not forgotten and with us planning on moving in the very near future I have decided to start with organizing my closet.
This is the current state of my closet:

It does not look horribly bad but it can be so much better.
First order of business would be to take all the clothing that are currently too small and putting them in a storage bin. Like this one:
Target storage box $49.99
Now you are thinking that I should be getting rid of the clothes, not hoarding these things. But with the fact that I am currently losing weight (update on my weight tomorrow), I think I should keep these clothes till I reach my goal weight.
I will be getting rid of clothing that is too big on me, since I will never, ever be wearing them again.
Next will be buying two of these:

Axis Imex 6-Shelf Sweater Organizer from Target $34.99
One will be for my sweaters and t-shirts. The second one will be for my jeans. Once each organizer unit is full, whatever is left over will be sent to the Salvation Army.
As for my shoes, I will be storing them in these shoe boxes:

Ikea Komplement shoe boxes: 4 for $9.99
These boxes are awesome! They have a clear window that lets you see what is inside. The same window that you can look into flips open so that you can take your shoes out without having to move any boxes around. I bought two packs of them and the area where I put them is the most organized area in my closet. I will be getting more.
I will also be getting new hangers. It would be nice to have them all in one color. I will also be using the top shelve of my closet that should be empty once I remove the sweaters and t-shirts and will use it to store the purses that are currently stored in a laundry basket on the floor.
So what do you think? Any ideas?

I Spy with My Shoe Eye: A Disaster
Yesterday while doing my daily blog reading I saw this post on Ana Locking on the Kingdom of Style blog. While I am in complete agreement on what Queen Michelle said about the designers clothes. I want to take this opportunity to comment on the shoes.
Her shoes were a HOT MESS! You do not believe me? Look for yourself:

I do not care what anyone says, but if your toes are every where else but on the shoe, that is not a well designed shoe. I mean look at how nasty that looks!! The toes on those models look like they want to run away. It is very disappointing, Since I liked her fall shoes.
See how pretty:

Like them? Hate them? What do you think?

This entertainment center would hold all our electronics nicely:

Cypress Hill
My blogging for this week has completely been put off. I had different things planned that I wanted to blog about. But because my camera broke, it is being held hostage by Best Buy till next week. Thus the reason why you guys have not gotten a Nail of the week or an Outfit post, or any of the other things I wanted to blog about this week.
BUT, I do have a few pictures from the Cypress Hill concert that Mr. P and I went to on Halloween.

As you can see from the pictures, I had a B-Real love affair going on. He is my other imaginary baby daddy. Yes, I know, I have many baby daddies. What can I say, I am a lover, not a hater. LOL
The night was insanely fun. In fact it was so much fun that Mr. P is still recovering his hearing, my throat was killing me the next day and it took two days for my hearing to go back to normal. Even with all that we decided that whenever they are in town we will be going to their concert, we will just make sure to have ear plugs on.

Gaultier is coming to a Target near you……. Maybe
The legend that is John Paul Gaultier is joining the growing line of designers that have done collections for Target.
With the exception of the Proenza collection for Target, all the collections so far have been a big disappointment for me. So to say that I am a little skeptical on how good this Target line will be is to be expected. I highly doubt that we will see his edgy design elements that have made him who he is.
But, let’s imagine for a moment that Gaultier designs won’t be dumbed down for the Target line, I would love to see versions of some of my favorite pieces hit the racks:
Spring 2010: I LOVE, LOVE, L O V E the first outfit.

Fall 2009: The new Little Black Dress.

Spring 2007: I know I am not a Saint. But I can dress like one.

Maybe even a Madonna, Blonde Ambition Tour corset with the cone boobies(yes, I said boobies):

Yes, yes, I would so wear it and then go hang with the Queens at Chaos. I would even sport the platinum ponytail just to make it that much more Madonnaish.
I know my wish is farfetched. But a girl can dream, right?
Look for the collection at Target Online, or possibly at a Target near you(the collection will only be at selected Target nationwide) on March 7, 2010.

More Collaborations
The Anna Sui for Target collection has come and gone. Actually, As of yesterday my local Target still had some of her pieces. But I wont even get into that, with the fact that there are still clothing left on the racks says enough about that collection.
The next Target collaboration is already in stores and that is Carlos Falchi for Target. For those that do not know who he is, he is a purse/bag designer. You can find some of his drool inducing bags at Saks. But if you are like me and do not have $2,000+ to drop on a bag, this collection with Target is your chance to own one of his bags.
I stopped by my local Target last night to see if I can check out the bags. I am especially eyeing this satchel:
But they did not have them out yet. I went on the website today and they state that it is now in stock. So I will see about stopping by tonight before heading home.
The next collaboration I am looking forward to is Jimmy Choo for H&M
I am not going to even try and front, I am looking forward to this collection. I own a few Choo's and I LOVE them to pieces.
Of course we cannot forget the Rodarte for Target collection that will hit stores on December 20th as I mentioned here. I have seen some of the pictures of the collection and I am not sure how I feel about it yet. But I will keep an open mind till I see it for myself next month.
Here is one of the dresses:
What are your thoughts on all these collaborations? Any in particular you are looking forward to?
Ciao! xoxo
