WARNING: I am BORED so there will be lots of ramblings..

I have so much to do but I am not in the mood to work today so I find myself here just typing away trying to kill some time.

Man am I hungry! I have not eatten anything today unless you count a cup of coffee and water as a meal.

Today the upper management is having a meeting about staffing. I heard it getting pretty heated in there when they started to talk about me. I do not know if that is a good or bad thing. I could not hear very well what they were saying but I guess I will have to wait till it is all over and I can go ask Liz what was up. It would be really nice to have some help.

I do not know if you all read the Yahoo featured news articles but this morning when I logged on I saw that Muskogee, Oklahoma elected a 19 year old freshman from the University of Oklahoma. I believe he is the youngest person to hold a political seat in the country; the youngest person before him is the current mayor of Bloomsburg, PA, he is a 22 year old college senior. I tip my hat to both of them for running for mayor but the 19 year old actually ran against someone else and won, the 22 year old got it by default because no one ran against him. I bet the person that ran against the 19 year old feels like a faliure.

Man, I should run for Mayor, would ya'll vote for me? :-) I think I am going to start putting together my campaign! Rosie for Mayor!!

Happy Hump Day!

Finally, things are starting to calm down for me. We are almost done with the unpacking and organizing the new place, I no longer have classes and work is still crazy but these days just a tad more manageable.

This Friday is the beginning of our summer hours in the office. I am really looking forward to it because this year we will be getting off from work at 1 PM instead of 3 PM like last year. Hopefully this bit of free time will give me the time needed to finish up around the apartment and get other things I would like to get done accomplished. Maybe I can get some naps sneaked in there. Gosh, do I love naps!

Anyway, with me having more time that means I will have more time to blog and more reason to blog since for the past 2-3 weeks has been all about work and moving I did not want to bore the few of you that actually read my blog with that nonsense.

I do have a blog about my Memorial Day weekend but I need to download the pictures before I can post anything, so I will have it up on Friday.

Land of the Clones

I am getting the itch again to cut my hair. I have been growing it for a little over a year and it is now about mid way down my back. I have started looking at hair magazines and fashion magazines to see what is in and to get some inspiration for what I want done on my hair this time around. I try not to stick to what is in style too much, I usually take different elements of what I like in a hair cut and make my own version that is suited for my style and functional for my way of life. Being in the beauty industry and even before then I have always been very picky with my hair and even so much more with my stylists. So When I find a stylist that works for me I stick to him or her like glue.

My hair stylist is Spike from the salon Aquilano in Old Town Alexandria in Virginia. He is just fantastic. Not only is he a great stylist, he is a very nice person. So for those of you that are in the DC area and you want a to go to a great Salon, I highly recommend that place. Spike is the owner of the place and is always booked but the other stylists are just as great.

Anyway, back to my hair dilemma; as I am searching online, in hair magazines and fashion magazines all I see is a sea of the Rihanna and Victoria Beckham bobs. Mind you they are not the first people to sport that cut (yes people, Rihanna, Victoria and their hair stylist are not original or innovators either. They did not come up with this cut) but that is what people recognizes them as. Everyone and their mother is sporting that god forsaken hair cut. Do not get me wrong, it is a cool hair cut, but for the love of god people stop it. You all look like a pack of clones. Do something original and creative, stop being a robot. It really wont hurt. Trust me!

Welcome to the land of the clones. Where everyone is boring and everyone lacks originality.
